House Blessings

A house blessing is a ceremony of welcome to your new home, designed to infuse it with a welcoming and nurturing energy.

A house clearing is the removal of old energies from a previous owner or from an event that occurred. It can be combined with a house blessing as well. House clearing involves identifying stuck or stagnant energies and using various tools to move them, including essences, sound and smudging.

This ceremony involves:

• ritual elements to welcome in protective and positive energies, for example, blessings for each type of room, candles, dedication, natural essences
• meeting with you to design a ceremony to suit your circumstances, family structure and those who will be involved in the ceremony
• travel and conduct of the ceremony

This ceremony involves:

• a consultation with you to determine what is needed
• an assessment of the energies in each part of the house
• the use of various tools to clear energies and reinvigorate areas of the house that are stagnant
• use of Houses of Life essences or other essences where needed

The house clearing Marlee confirmed my initial feelings that the energy needed clearing in a couple of main spots. There was one area where we kept tripping over. Afterwards, the house felt a lot lighter and no more tripping! It felt good to set some intentions as well and invite in protection and love to our space. What are houses of life essences?

The Houses of Life essences are designed to address each of the nine areas of a dwelling, including the centre, career, helpful people, children, relationships, fame, wealth, health and family, and knowledge sectors, clearing these and asking for a blessing in each area of life represented in your home. I may suggest remedies for different areas or I may recommend that you engage a Feng Shui practitioner to provide this. Clearing in this way is generally followed by a ceremony to welcome friends and family into your new home, or to make you feel welcome in your new home.

When do you suggest I do a house clearing?

A clearing can be good when moving into a new build or an existing house, to clear out energies left from past owners or from the builders. A house clearing can also be good if there is a problematic part of the house. 

How is a house blessing different from a house warming?

In some ways it is similar to a house warming in that it is a welcome and setting positive intentions for your life in a new house. A blessing is slightly more intentional as we bless each room and invite what is wanted for those using these spaces. It can be followed with a celebration with friends.
